The Online Laughter Club and Laughter Playground
The Laughter Club International (UK) started in St. Albans in June 2004 and is now running 3-4 times per year on training weekends and World Laughter Day.
On 15th September 2008 our monthly laughter was expanded by weekday morning laughter with The Telephone Laughter Club which keeps laughing Monday to Friday at 7am to 7:10am as well as 12noon to 12:10pm and finally 6:30pm to 6:40pm.
On 29th June 2011 the existing monthly laughter and the week-daily telephone laughter was further expanded by a weekly online laughter club.
Why adding an Online Laughter Club?
In addition to the existing means of getting together in regular Laughter Clubs or telephone laughter, the Online Laughter Club provides an added space for people to feel connected through laughter.
The Online Laughter Club is a great way of bringing together the world’s communities in a circle of laughter through video and voice. Although there is no physical connection the space creates a sense of being in a Laughter Club and maintaining the all-important eye contact – even if it is by staring into a webcam…
Sessions are Tuesdays from 7:00pm to 7:30pm UK time – full details below.
The Online Laughter Club and Laughter Playground is your chance to try different ways of laughing.
What does that mean?
In essence you can invite your friends, family and colleagues to join you online for a laugh. There may or may not be Laughter Yoga Leaders online to facilitate the laughs, which means I may not be there, and if not, just pull faces, speak gibberish, fake laughter and have fun – NO JOKES allowed!
- Internet access
- Log on 5 minutes early to allow for the online conference to set itself up

Today the US and Australia run very successful Telephone Laughter Clubs and this was the inspiration to start the daily telephone laughs here in the UK.

There are more than 10,000 Laughter Clubs worldwide.
- Laughter also runs regularly on Skype.
